The intention is to build housing for orphans growing out of the orphanage and to buy property and build housing for orphans in the Kibira slum in Nairobi for the funds they receive in the coming three years (2014-2016). The poverty and the need is so great in the slums that several of the children are being chased into prostitution already at the age of 10.
We at Kynningsrud will with this gift be part of helping several of the poorest among the poor to get a worthy and good life. NSP Aid and Kynningsrud will cooperate closely on the management of the gift.
Employees and the companies contribute together
We have received many positive feedbacks externally and internally in recent years because both employees and companies contributing to the donation. Employees contribute voluntarily with 200 kr each year and the companies in Kynningsrud Group contributes so that the gift will be a total of one million NOK.
Both leaders and officers think it is positive that together we contribute to a socially useful purpose. This is in line with Kynningsrud’s vision «Happy to be of service.»
